A Week to Remember: From Thanksgiving Feasts to Plasma Donations

As the fall semester winds down, reflecting on the past week brings a whirlwind of emotions and experiences. From a delightful ZTA Thanksgiving celebration to a nerve-wracking Polar Pitch, each day has been a unique chapter in my college journey. Join me as I recount the highlights of my eventful week, filled with camaraderie, philanthropy and a dash of friendly competition.

Sunday: ZTA Thanksgiving Extravaganza

Kicking off the week on a festive note, my sorority, Zeta Tau Alpha, hosted a Thanksgiving celebration where sisters contributed a variety of dishes, creating a bountiful feast for the entire chapter. Amidst the warmth of shared meals and laughter, the executive council nominations were passed. I am thrilled to announce that I secured the position of Ritual Chair. The bonds of sisterhood and the joy of serving in a leadership role set the tone for the week ahead.

Monday: A Philanthropic Venture to BioLife

In a quest for some extra cash, I decided to donate plasma at BioLife in Lima on Monday. Not only was the experience surprisingly smooth, but I also walked away with $80 in my pocket. I highly recommend BioLife to anyone considering plasma donation, and if you decide to go, don't forget to mention my name—I get a referral bonus! It's a win-win situation for both you and me.

Tuesday: Leaders Council Networking Dessert

Amidst the week's adventures, Tuesday provided a unique and rewarding experience as I was invited to the Leaders Council Networking Dessert, representing Zeta Tau Alpha. It was a fun and enlightening opportunity to connect with leaders from various organizations on campus. The event provided a platform to enhance my networking skills, fostering valuable connections beyond the sorority realm. Plus, the desserts were simply delightful, adding a sweet touch to an already enriching evening.

Wednesday: The Polar Pitch Challenge

Midweek brought a unique challenge in the form of the Polar Pitch. Nerves and excitement filled the air as I prepared to present my product pitch in front of a panel of judges. Although we didn't secure the victory, the experience itself was invaluable. The Polar Pitch served as a culmination of hard work, creativity and determination, and the fact that we participated for a class ensured that we earned credit regardless of the outcome.

Thursday: A Sweet Farewell as Social Chairman

As the week draws to a close, anticipation builds for my final social event as the Social Chairman of my sorority. This Thursday promises a delightful and competitive gingerbread house making competition with two fraternities on campus. It's not just a fun way to end my term but also a testament to the camaraderie built during my time as Social Chairman.

Conclusion:

This week has been a rollercoaster of emotions, from the warmth of Thanksgiving gatherings to the excitement of challenging competitions. Each experience has left an indelible mark on my college journey, reinforcing the importance of community, philanthropy and personal growth. As the week comes to an end, I look forward to new challenges and opportunities, grateful for the memories and lessons that have shaped this unforgettable chapter of my life.
